Hi there lovelies,
I took a long break to reassess things for this blog and focus more on my online shop. I’m gald to say that I really missed blogging and sharing ideas and finds from around the web with all of you. I will be back with more regular posts here on the old blog. Today I’m sharing the start of our diningroomtable makeover.
We have been busy here at the house. The hubster build us a little deck in front of our new shed (more on that another time). Now my focus will be on tackling the living room. O the living room. What can I say about it. Well I’ve been out of love with it for years now and it’s time to break up. Yes living room you heard me I’m leaving you. That felt good to get out there.
We need a complete redecoration in the living room. Almost everything needs doing and or replacing. We started with new curtains on the front window. I will share more on that in another post this week. I have been wanting to paint our dinning room table and chairs for a while. But first we had to slim down the table because it was always a bit too big for the space.
From 6 to 5 planks wide
The hubster came to the rescue and suggested we make it narrower by removing one of the planks down the centre. Unfortunately he couldn’t remove the screws and take it out so he had to saw the table in half and reinforce the underside with new wood. He did such a wonderful job of it. The plank he removed we are going to use for future DIY’s.
Next step is the painting and that is my job to do. Will keep you posted.
Till next time,
