I love scrolling through Instagram, Pinterest or my favourite blogs and gushing over all the beautifully styled Holiday homes. I can spend hours doing that during this season. Personally, I keep it minimal at my own home. A Christmas tree, the large star that lights up in the front window and the occasional handcrafted wreath. That’s just how I roll.
If you spend any time around here you already know I like my crafts to be simple and fun. So I have one of those projects for you today. Come and make your own Eucalyptus wreath with me.
This is what you will need
- Metal hoop (I used a white 45 cm hoop)
- Wire cutter
- Floral wire
- Velvet ribbon
- Seeded Eucalyptus (or your favourite type of Eucalyptus)
- Pine greenery
- Gold marble spraypaint
There are many types of Eucalyptus available so just choose the one you like. I could not find another colour metal hoop so I thought let’s try a marble spray paint on it and see how it comes out. I first started by spraypainting the hoop and letting it dry.
Then go around and attach branches of the eucalyptus around the hoop to form a base. When you have your eucalyptus base, fill it up with more eucalyptus and pine branches. You can make it as full or as sparse as you want. I wanted to add a little punch of colour so I went with the hot pink velvet ribbon.
That’s it your done! If you make one of my DIY’s I would love to see how it turned out. Tag me on social media using #BGDDIY so I can see your projects.
